Belong Nordic, Terms and Conditions

These terms are the agreement between you and Belong Europe ApS for the use of Belong Nordic. By downloading, using or creating an account for Belong Nordic you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

Who we are

Belong Nordic is made by Belong Europe ApS, a company registered in Copenhagen, Denmark, CVR number 46649044, reachable at hello@belongeurope.com.

What Belong Nordic is

Belong Nordic is a personal tracker. It helps you see your own distance to Nordic citizenship by organising the information you enter against published rules, and by showing honestly which part of the journey you control and which part you do not. The iPhone app keeps your data on your device. The web app stores it in an account so you can reach it from any browser — apart from your documents and your practice, which stay in the browser you used.

Accounts

The web app requires an account. You are responsible for keeping your login details safe and for activity on your account: give us an email address you control, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has access. On the iPhone an account is optional — you can use the whole app without one, and your tracker data never lives in the account. Signing in there exists for one purpose: so a single subscription unlocks both.

Belong Nordic is not legal advice

Belong Nordic is an information tool, not a lawyer and not an authority. Nationality law changes, administrative practice varies, and this app may contain errors or be out of date. Nothing here creates any right, decides anything, or binds any authority.

Verify your own situation with the bodies that actually decide it: the Ministry of Immigration and Integration in Denmark, Migrationsverket in Sweden, UDI in Norway or Migri in Finland. You use Belong Nordic at your own risk, and decisions about your file remain yours.

Practice is practice, not the exam

The questions in the Practice tab are written by Belong Europe from the official material: each authority’s own study material for Denmark, Norway and Sweden, and for Finland the subject areas the Citizenship Act itself names, because Migri has published no material yet. They are not the authority’s own questions, they are not endorsed by it, and they can contain mistakes. A good score in Practice is not a pass. In Sweden, where UHR has not yet published a pass mark, no score is judged a pass at all. Finland’s citizenship test does not take effect until 1 January 2027, and until Migri publishes the test’s length, time limit and pass mark there is no mock and no pass line for Finland here.

Today’s five and the run of days it keeps are a study aid. The run counts days on which you practised and nothing else: it is not progress toward citizenship, it is not an assessment, and no authority sees it or takes it into account.

What if is a sandbox

The What if feature runs the same rules on a hypothetical copy of your situation so you can see how a decision would move your finish line. It is an illustration, not a prediction, not a promise, and not a commitment by any authority. Nothing you try in it is saved.

Documents you attach

You choose what to attach on the Path tab, and what you attach is your responsibility. We do not read, verify, validate or store your documents, and attaching one does not satisfy a requirement or prove anything to anyone — only the authority deciding your case can do that. The count of requirements that carry a document is a count of attachments, nothing more.

Belong Nordic is not a backup service. Documents live only on the device you added them on: on your iPhone, or in the browser you used on the web. If you remove one, delete the app, clear your browser’s data for this site, sign in on that browser with a different account, or lose or replace the device, it is gone and we cannot recover it, because we never had it. On the iPhone your own device backup will not save it either: documents are deliberately kept out of that backup, so restoring a new phone does not bring them back. A browser can also clear its own storage for a site without asking, for example when space runs short. Keep your own copies of anything that matters.

Dates, reminders and alerts

What’s coming lists dates worked out from what you have entered and from rules the authorities have published. A date shown as the earliest possible one is a projection, not a commitment: rules change, calendars change, and nothing shown here binds any authority.

The web app has no reminders or alerts: What’s coming is a list you look at, and nothing is sent to you. On the iPhone, reminders and alerts are local notifications scheduled on your device and delivered by iOS at its discretion. They can arrive late, be held back by your system settings, a Focus mode or Low Power Mode, or not arrive at all, and they stop if you turn notifications off or switch to a country where the feature does not apply. Do not rely on them as your only reminder. Meeting a registration window, a renewal or any other deadline remains yours.

News comes from The Local

The News tab shows stories published by The Local, fetched from their public feed and filtered on your device. We do not write, edit or endorse them, and we cannot vouch for their accuracy or timeliness. Tapping a story opens it on The Local’s own site under their terms, and some articles may require a subscription with them. No feed exists for Finland.

Passport facts

The Passport tab shows facts about each country’s passport — validity, fee, where to apply and dual citizenship — checked with the issuing authority on the date shown in the app. Fees and rules change, and nothing on that tab binds any authority: check with the issuing authority before you book or pay. The cover shown is an illustration, the holder name and any photo are ones you added yourself, and none of it is a travel document or proof of anything. The notes on each passport’s design and versions are descriptive only. A change described as proposed, such as a longer Finnish passport validity, is a proposal and not law.

Subscriptions

• Belong Nordic Pro costs 199 DKK per year, with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers.
• On the iPhone, payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase, and the subscription is sold and managed by Apple.
• On the web, payment is handled by our processor Stripe, and your card is charged when the free trial ends unless you cancel first.
• One subscription covers both apps. Sign in with the same email and your access follows you; billing stays where you started.
• It renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel before the current period ends.
• Where the law permits, any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when the paid subscription begins.

Refunds and cancellation

You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Purchases made on the iPhone are refunded by Apple under Apple’s policy; for purchases made on the web, contact us and we will deal with your request in line with your statutory rights. Because one subscription covers both apps, cancelling ends access in both when the paid period runs out.

No warranty

Belong Nordic is provided as is and as available. We do not warrant that it is accurate, complete, uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose, and we do not warrant that any date it shows will match the decision you eventually receive.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Belong Europe ApS is not liable for any loss or harm arising from your use of Belong Nordic or your reliance on the information in it, including any missed deadline, refused application or delayed decision. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Acceptable use

Use Belong Nordic personally and lawfully. Do not copy, resell, redistribute or sublicense it, do not reverse engineer it, and do not use it to mislead anyone about their legal position or to provide immigration advice as a service. Do not try to gain access to accounts or systems that are not yours.

Intellectual property

The app, its text, its rule summaries, its practice questions and its design belong to Belong Europe ApS. References to official sources are for information; the names and marks of SIRI, Migrationsverket, UHR, UDI, Migri and The Local belong to their respective owners, and none of them endorses Belong Nordic.

Ending your access

You can stop using Belong Nordic at any time and, if you have an account, delete it. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms or misuse the service.

Changes

We may update these terms. The current version always lives on this page with its effective date, and material changes are announced in the app.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Danish law. If you are a consumer, you keep the mandatory protections of the law of the country where you live, and nothing here removes them.
